Chris Carney is a good guy who has worked his ass off trying to to win an unwinnable seat. Yes, he's had the little advantage of the fact that his opponent, Don Sherwood, was accused of choking his young mistress and settled a multimillion dollar law suit over that accusation, but even with that he was seen as having a tremendous uphill battle. It looks like he might actually pull it off.
Carney also has the advantage of being in a cheap media market, which means your dollars can go a long way. Every little bit helps.
