It is really an
accountability-free profession. Having said that, I'm not really entirely sure what outside speaking fee and similar rules should be for journalists, though in Broder's case the hypocrisy (given that he'd sanctimoniously railed against the practice previously) was enough to merit comment. Still, rules are rules and perhaps they should be followed?
