Whatever the ideology (professed or genuine) of a beltway pundit, you know they're past their sell-by date when they start carping about how the
presidential show isn't as pleasing as it once was. It isn't there to entertain you or make you feel good about yourself, it's there to run the government and ideally advance good policy. Once you start thinking it's about whether it makes you feel happy inside, it's time to get another job like, say, a non-union janitorial position.
