There was something truly weird about the relationship between the DC press and the Bush administration that I never could quite understand. It's like he was
their president somehow, the one they grew up with before he regenerated into that weird guy with the funny name. And they keep rooting
for his return. I don't think the press is especially hostile to Obama, though they inevitably run with whatever right wing talking point comes through the puke funnel that day, but Bush...he was the one, their first boyfriend or something.
