The Hell You Say

Years ago, I sported a button that said "Bush and Noriega, a crack team." There is altogether too much yapping on MSNBC about seditionist talk, the need to respect high office holders. Screw that, and them; I don't respect more than a few. Talk is legal! What's wrong with a little sedition? It opens the pores.

It's different when you surround specific political enemies (oops, another bad word; oh shut up) with the rhetoric of violence and revel in the symbolism of firearms. It was bad when the Panthers did it (and stupid; they were out-gunned), worse when much more powerful forces do it now. Some mooks once went to Senator Jesse Helms' personal residence and put a giant condom over it. Creative, but it made me antsy about invading others' personal spaces. Remember, we got the numbers, they got the guns.

Today most of the violent talk focused on individuals comes from the Right, and worse, those who actually carry out immoral, violent deeds adhere to the far Right and attack Democrats. Crazy lefties break Starbucks windows. Crazy righties shoot people. The onus is on the Right to clean up its act, since their nutballs have proved to be more dangerous.
