I agree that most pundits are clueless about the
things they talk about. I have a fantasy about lining a bunch of them up and asking them what the median monthly Social Security check is. I wouldn't expect them to get the right answer, or even close to the right answer, but I doubt they'd even be close to the ballpark. And if that question is too specific I'd be happy for any answer which, roughly, conveyed the range of Social Security payments people receive.
