Prioritahs

It isn't that I don't think there's any place for arguments about whether Safeway Cap Weinberger Denny Hastert or FIFA members are being targeted by inappropriate laws or prosecutorial overreach, it's that these types of situations are the only ones which rouse Official Washington out of their slumber about the gross injustices in our justice system. I don't know if they're incapable of learning or just incapable of caring, but the take home lesson should be something like "if EVEN MY SOCIAL CIRCLE can be mistreated by the justice system, then perhaps all of those black kids from Baltimore and Ferguson who aren't multimillionaires and can't afford the kinds of legal representation that my multimillionaire friends can afford have a wee problem which might even warrant a few or a thousand columns in the Washington Post."

Sadly, no.
