Haha. I love the "Eric Alterman Guy" in Tom Tomorrow cartoons. Mebbe he can do an "Atrios guy" sometime.

It's true that in his earliest incarnation, back during the Clinton years, the Bearded Liberal was loosely inspired by Alterman, but I wouldn't want anyone to think that's the case anymore--Alterman's one of the few outspoken ones these days. The BL has become more of a generic representation ineffectual liberalism, liberals who can't seem to find a voice.
