"Bunch of bull" from Cheney

Nothing new there... Except that Comical Ari, on his last day, makes the following statement:

"This revisionist notion that somehow this is now the core of why we went to war, a central issue in why we went to war, a fundamental underpinning of the president's decisions, is a bunch of bull."

How soon we forget ... Not only was this notion core to the case for war, it was core to the case for the new Bush doctrine of preemptive war.

Cheney, 2002:

"We must take the battle to the enemy. We must take every step necessary to make sure our country is secure, and we will prevail."

"What [Saddam] wants is time and more time to husband his resources to invest in ongoing chemical and biological weapons programs and to gain possession of nuclear weapons."

Right. Except the sanctions were working (why else bury the centrifuge part under a rosebush?), so the case for war collapses.

NOTE: It's so cute when the administration and its operatives cry "revisionism"! They got that word from the neo-cons, and makes them all sound like the Trots the neo-cons once were!
