Rice vs. Rice

Remember how Condi Rice claimed she just didn't read the memo? Now she's claiming she read it twice! Of course, the crack team at PBS didn't bother to follow up (near the end). We might wonder why:

As the always witty Charles Pierce has noted a couple of times, there are more ethics in sports journalism than in political journalism. No sports reporter would ever invite a football player over to his/her house for some home cooking.
