Big Media Matt is right that the reason Frist would rather engage in silly food fights than have the Senate actually do anything is that Frist is actually a very horrible Majority Leader. The only way he manages to not get steamrolled by Dems (believe it or not) is that DeLay's minions in the House manage to strike everything positive in conference.
So, we're going to have a do-nothing Senate in 2004. I say, great!
