One tries to figure out
explanations for these things. It's hard. At different times I'd probably have different theories. Now I'll lean on the fact that one is a Village dweller of good standing and one isn't. I have no idea if it's true. But, yes, certainly my weighting of the criminal investigation of a sitting senator and the criminal investigation of some guy with no political power differs from that of the editors of the Post.
