Though I certainly
understand the objections, there's something kind of poetic about naming and international AIDS funding bill after Jesse Helms. If alive, he would certainly hate it. Even though it isn't intended as such, it's kind of a big "fuck you" to him really, a way to put his name on the kinds of things he fought against over his political career.
