In fairness, unemployment benefits probably do provide some
mild disincentive for grabbing the first horrible shitty job that comes by so that people have time to search for a job that will actually be better in the long run, but with 9.7% unemployment the idea that people are just being lazy and living it up on meager unemployment benefits is pretty stupid.
