Chicoms

The weirdest foreign policy issue in our politics is China. I doubt most of the people having any issue with the Obama administration handling of the Chen Guangcheng situation had ever heard of him a month ago. Even though China's basically as much as our buddy as is, say, France, these days, politicians are supposed to talk smack about them and clap approvingly for "dissidents."

Don't get me wrong, I'm not cheering on the Chinese government or knocking dissidents, just think our domestic politics about all things China are stoopid.
