As I've said repeatedly, I get that people oppose same sex marriage. I mean, not that I really get it, but I guess if you've grown up in a culture which has spent a lot of time demonizing gay people generally and demonizing gay marriage specifically then you might internalize that a bit. I just don't
understand why people care, why the issue has intensity. Even if you check "no" on a poll question about supporting gay marriage, why does the issue actually keep you up at night? So weird.
