For years crazy people such as me would say things like, "Conservatives believe Democrats cannot legitimately hold power in this country," and sensible centrists would scoff and yell at us for not being nice enough to our racist relatives at Thanksgiving, or whatever Hallmark Holiday Movie Scripted By Aaron Sorkin was running through their heads that day.
