I'm increasingly convinced the consistent theme of politics in my adult life has been the people who run everything, and their cheerleaders, getting almost exactly what they want every time, getting absolutely enraged at the outcome, and then lashing out and blaming the most powerless political force - The Left - for it.
When their grand experiments blow up in other people's faces, it is very rude indeed to point out how they set it all in motion.
