I Never Thought The Amur Leopard Would Take A 1.6" Bite Out Of My Perioral Area

It isn't a new observation that more conservative-leaning people don't believe a problem is real or that it matters until it happens to them, and then suddenly it's the most important thing ever.

But I am struck how specific it can be. You know, not, "I had cancer and the experience was horrible and it taught me we should improve the way our system deals with cancer patients." Instead, "I had Metastatic Squamous Neck Cancer (left side) and it's vitally important we devote $100 billion annually for research and treatment of Metastatic Squamous Neck Cancer (left side) , but do absolutely nothing for any other cancer or illness or anything else really, because that would be communism."

Conservative-leaning.
