I hate that the "old" link-based internet is gone, mostly behind apps and paywalls. I don't fault people for doing subscriptions - everyone's gotta eat - but it's a shame they have to. I'm in no way claiming it would be more lucrative for me if I did so - I suspect not! - but I'm glad I haven't felt like it was necessary to do so.
