Of course there are the people who are just grifters, but if we approach "Sandy Hook Truthers" - and similar - charitably, what has broken in their brains that has led them there? Is it just some psychotic break caused by the inability to process that this is the world they've wished for?
I'm not saying any of them should be thought of charitably, I'm just trying to understand why, exactly, of all "conspiracy theories," one would seize on that one.
