I'd say in 2000 it was considered to be the height of sophistication to be an undecided voter. It would allow you to write numerous thumbsuckers for slate, carefully weighing all of the (perceived) pros and cons of each candidate, before eventually, reluctantly, making your choice. I think now there's more of a sense that undecided voters are, about politics at least, just idiots.

It's Mitt
The same conservatives who are desperate for Mitt to win are the ones who hated him 6 months ago. That's somewhat understandable, of course. He's the Republican, though not their favorite, so they'll support him. But it wasn't really like this in 2008. I don't remember the same level of emotional investment in McCain from these people.

Plenty of people need the gas, though for some it's panic at having perceived freedom curtailed. Sucks not being able to go where you want.

Two Second Movie Review
I think I liked Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter more than most, but it wasn't very good.
Because I Have So Few Opportunities
I watched Chris Christie evolve from being his usual mostly pointlessly dickish self before the storm fully hit to being someone who seemed to be generally concerned with trying to solve the massive problem he was now faced with.
That doesn't mean I love the guy, but I do think he was, unlike many in his party, actually seeing that it was his job to do stuff.
