Free Tests

A probably correct critique of the (non-) importance of offering free or cheap covid tests is that the countries that do this haven't had all that much more luck stopping spread. They haven't done much to help the spread in the aggregate.

But it does empower people to get on with their lives, individually, which is an important part of the "let her rip" strategy, whatever one thinks of that strategy. Critical for more vulnerable people to consider leading anything approaching a normal life.

Giving people some control, or even the illusion of control, over their health and who they associate with and when is pretty important!

Small cost for increased peace of mind.
