For covid, people who haven't gotten it think it's because they did the right thing. The class of people who rule The Discourse who mostly could comfortably stay at home to work and otherwise pick and choose their environnments, and could be quick vaccine and booster recipients, look upon the people who are getting sick (I don't mean the unvaxxed) as somehow at fault.
