We're All Experts In (Spins The Wheel Of Countries) Austrian Politics Now

Related to this, the "everyone becomes an expert about another country's politics" phenomenon, like how everyone becomes an epidemiologist when a plague arrives, is always hilarious. This is largely because almost everything is seen by these insta-experts through the lens of US politics (we are always the main character), when it rarely has anything to do with it.

Ever country has their own versions of dumb Senate rules and weird quirks of electoral representation and awful news outlets and odd federal/regional/local power divisions and bizarre issues of the day and the occasional scandal. If you don't know anything about that stuff, you don't know much more than "that's the left wing party, that's the center party, and that's the right wing party."
