Afternoon Thread

Speaking of parking, I think only one person on my block actually reserves their spot in true South Philly fashion with an orange cone. Two more have dubious curb cuts which they park their cars in front of. The block just switched to 2 hour/permit parking. Previously it was unlimited, but more and more blocks were being converted and people started using my block for commuter parking.


This is the most exciting blog post ever.

Though if the Inqy keeps providing me with hilarious parking comments threads, I might consider trying to save it after all.

Public Plan

I've long thought that health care reform without a public plan is pointless, and that the only realistic way forward is to essentially buy off the current stakeholders while phasing them out. I hope that's what's going to happen, though I'm not yet optimistic.
