Never Tweet

Actually, showing us that the inside of their melons are as twisted as one would have surmised from their coverage of politics is incredibly valuable! Thanks Jack!

Sunday Lunch

Imagine how often I would say "fuck you" if I had fuck you money!

A Profession That Selects For Sociopaths

(and son and daughter)

What's The Point of Having Fuck You Money If You Can't Say "Fuck You"

It is a mystery, but the answer is similar to the answer to the question, "why do politicians in +20 safe seats who have zero problems raising money still love to go to fancy parties to collect money from rich people."

Sunday Morning

Ra ra ra.

Saturday Night

Rock on.

Never Change, Fucking Newspaper

I know you never will.

THE NARRATIVES, THEY COMPETE

It's dumb to see things this way, but everybody, including members of Congress, has cable news brain. Does the Axios +7 Propaganda spell manage to defeat the Greg Sargent Shield of Righteousness?

Lunch Thread

Weekending at a fancy resort with my favorite Arizona senator.

Bullies

Stand up to them, especially when they are dorks with no one but the world's worst journalists on their side.

Saturday Morning

Friday Night

Rock on.

Oh No The Precious Moderates

Delicate types, going through the stages of grief.

Happy Hour

Get happy.

Team Coin

Krgthulu's on it. It is silly, but the alternatives are sillier and catastrophic.

Maybe Stop Pretending To Believe Them About Everything

Good for Sahil, but most reporters pretended to believe that Republicans deeply cared about our partners in Afghanistan, when of course they'd stand on a wall and shoot them trying to come in if they could.

Finding Out

So sad.
Alex Jones, the right-wing conspiracy theorist and founder of Infowars, is responsible for all damages in two lawsuits stemming from his false claims that the Sandy Hook school shooting was a “giant hoax,” a judge ruled this week.

Lunch Thread

Free for all Friday.

Moderates

Some are just corrupt of course, but many truly believe they win elections becauae they are damn good at politics. And when they lose it is somebody else's fault. Claire McCaskill comes to mind.

True perhaps of a senator or two, but ridiculous for House members in D+20 seats.  And actual swing district members mostly live or die based on the overall fortunes of team D, even as many think the secret is running against their own party.

I used to talk about "Democrats against Democrats" quite a bit.  It was the predominant challenger strategy for many election cycles, certainly in any swing districts.  I'm a Democrat who hates Democrats! Vote for me!

Maybe a strategy for a few, but when half the campaigns are running a campaign against the party, that's a bit of a problem.

Fortunately there aren't as many of them anymore.

(CNN)Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill's campaign is trying to persuade Missouri voters that she is not "one of those crazy Democrats," with a radio ad airing during the final stretch of her heated re-election fight.

The ad, which has been on air in mid-Missouri for roughly the past week, is part of McCaskill's closing argument in one of the country's most closely watched Senate races. As a Democrat in a state that backed President Donald Trump by double digits in 2016, McCaskill has touted her moderate credentials and urged voters to look at her accomplishments, not her party ID.

The Left Should Refashion As A Pro-"Bombing The Shit Out Of Everyone" Movement

Either that would win the love of "objective journalists" or discredit bombing the shit out of everyone.
